Chicken Little (U)

The plot: A nerdy chicken goes from zero to hero when he saves his town from alien invasion…

The verdict: It’s no Disney classic but Chicken Little is fun and frantic enough to entertain in the holidays.

Part of the reason is that you can also watch Chicken Little in 3-D - so even in the normal version there’s loads of madcap action scenes and things being flung at the screen. The story may be all over the shop (part family drama, part sci-fi) but the zany energy is infectious.

Chicken Little also features a camp pig as one of its main characters - surely a first.

Critics in the States have already slammed the pic and sure enough, it doesn’t compare to Mouse House masterpieces such as The Lion King or anything Pixar dreams up. Still fun though...

The papers say Guy not going to the Grammys meant his marriage to Madonna was in trouble. Guy says he was indoors looking after the kids, and Madge wasn’t up for an award so didn’t need him there. She says he’s still phoning every five minutes.

The shock rocker wants to make a horror film about Alice In Wonderland author Lewis Carroll. Marilyn wants to play the writer living in an isolated castle and tormented every night by visions of a girl named Alice. Brit model Lily Cole is to play Alice.
