Appena un anno fa... a lungo ho pensato alle parole del mio re, criptiche parole di vittoria, il tempo gli ha dato ragione; perché da greco libero a greco libero si è tramandata la notizia che il prode Leonida e i suoi trecento soldati, così lontani da casa, hanno dato la vita, non solo per Sparta, ma per tutta la Grecia e per la speranza difesa da questa nazione. Ora, qui, su questo aspro frammento chiamato Platea, le orde di Serse affrontano la loro DISFATTA!!. Li davanti i barbari si raccolgono. E’ nero il terrore che afferra saldo i loro cuori.. Con dita di ghiaccio, conoscono molto bene gli impietosi orrori che hanno sofferto per le lance e le spade dei trecento spartani. Ed ora fissano lo sguardo su questa pianura dove ci sono diecimila spartani alla testa di trentamila liberi greci! Le forze del nemico ci superano di sole tre volte... Buon segno per tutti i greci.
