Una maniera simpatica e innovativa quella adottata da molti single per attaccare bottone con qualche bella sconosciuta. Il maschio in gentile compagnia fa abbassare le difese delle donne e risulta più rassicurante. Le finte-amiche si affittano via Internet rivolgendosi a siti specializzati. Sono carine ma non vistose. Il loro compito è quello di scortare il giovanotto in giro per locali o ristoranti, e una volta identificata la preda,avvicinarla e iniziare una piacevole conversazione nella quale solo in un secondo tempo coinvolgere il "cliente". Quando la ragazza prescelta inizia a chiaccerare con la wingwoman di solito è fatta. E a questo punto tocca al cuore solitario darsi da fare. Costo medio dell'operazione 50 dollari l'ora.
