Arriva un CD di Bjork con 20 versioni dello stesso pezzo
Fortunatamente è anche un disco benefico, altrimenti il CD di Bjork rischierebbe davvero di passare tra quelli “for fans only”. Si tratta di “Army of me”, un album per il quale la cantante islandese ha deciso di donare i proventi all’International Children’s Emergy Fund delle Nazioni Unite. La particolarità del disco risiede nel fatto che esso contiene per venti volte la stessa canzone, appunto “Army of me”; ovviamente si tratta di cover eseguite da vari artisti. Dopo aver raccolto l’appello rivoltole dall’ente, Bjork nello scorso gennaio ha lanciato una richiesta di collaborazione aperta a tutti i musicisti del mondo e le sono pervenute circa 600 cover. L’islandese spera di poter raccogliere mezzo milione di dollari entro 10 giorni dalla pubblicazione del CD, la cui uscita è fissata per il prossimo 30 maggio. L’elenco:

I White Stripes hanno già deciso il primo estratto dal loro nuovo album. Ad anticipare il CD, registrato in due sole settimane a casa di Jack White, sarà "Blue orchid". Il singolo sarà disponibile a partire dal prossimo 30 maggio, mentre l'album, intitolato "Get behind me Satan", arriverà nei negozi il prossimo 6 giugno.
Il duo di Detroit ha debuttato nel 1997 con il singolo "Let's shake hands"; il primo album, "The White Stripes", è stato pubblicato nel giugno '99.

...Dopo 4 anni attesa (maddechè!? n.d.r.) finita: Shakira, un album in giugno e l'altro in novembre...
Il successore, anzi i successori di "Laundry service" del 2001 sono pronti: dopo 4 anni torna Shakira. Tra pochi giorni sarà in circolazione "La tortura", primo estratto da "Fijacion oral 1", il primo dei due album che la cantante pubblicherà quest'anno. "Fijacion oral 1" è cantato in lingua spagnola e sarà disponibile dal prossimo 6 giugno, mentre il secondo CD di "Shaky" s'intitola "Oral fixation 2", è in inglese e giungerà nelle rivendite tra 7 mesi. Produttore esecutivo d'entrambi i progetti è Rick Rubin.
