It's touching that the monkey sits on my shoulder.
He's waiting for the day when he gets me,

"B-sides and Rarities"

Sarà nei negozi a partire dal 25 di marzo il triplo album (pubblicato dall'etichetta Mute), che ripercorre gli oltre 20 anni di carriera di Nick Cave, il 47enne musicista australiano che con il suo lavoro ha scritto una pagina importante del rock contemporaneo.Il cofanetto, che si intitola "B-sides and Rarities", offre una eclettica collezione retrospettiva di svariati materiali, alcuni dei quali sono stati nel corso del tempo ritirati dal mercato, apparsi su colonne sonore o addirittura inediti.
Questa ricca "compilation" composta da 56 canzoni va dal 1984, anno in cui Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds esordirono con "From Her to eternity", fino al 2004, anno di pubblicazione di "Abattoir Blues/The Lyre of Orpheus".
Coordinatore di questo progetto, che Nick Cave non ha esitato a definire come il suo album preferito
Vera chicca per tutti i numerosi ammiratori di Nick Cave e della sua inseparabile band, "B-sides and Rarities" offre momenti di grande ispirazione: dalla struggente "The Mercy seat" in versione acustica alla delicata "Helpless", riuscita cover di Neil Young, dalla fragile bellezza di "Little Empty Boat" al blues di "I feel so good", fino al dolce romanticismo di "(I'll love you) Till the end of the world", brano incluso nell'omonimo film di Win Wenders.
