Un presidente degli Stati Uniti, una bottiglia di Chateau Lafite del 1787 e 160,000 dollari.
Stiamo parlando del vino più costoso del mondo !!!
Sul vetro della bottiglia sono incise le iniziali dell’antico proprietario, Th. J., Thomas Jefferson, terzo presidente degli Stati Uniti, padre fondatore della nazione a stelle e strisce e raffinato conoscitore di vini.
Il suo incarico di ambasciatore in Francia l’aiutò nel coltivare questa passione, consentendogli di visitare le vigne di Bordeaux e Borgogna.
La bottiglia in questione fu messa all’asta nel 1985 e tutt’oggi resta la più cara mai venduta.
A Thomas Jefferson sono associati altri vini molto preziosi, uno
Sherry del 1775 ed uno
Chateau d’Yquem del 1787, rispettivamente del valore di 43,500 e 56,588 dollari.
