It always comes as a surprise...

E' da molto che non aggiorno il blog, ma non mi aspettavo così tante visite...Ringrazio innanzitutto Malice, Phelt e fgth per i commenti che hanno lasciato; spero che stia prendendo una forma propria, ogni tanto rischia di diventare la succursale di "Tuttotesti". Ho persino tentato di mettere una foto nel profilone, ma ne metterò di certo una più decente nelle prossime settimane.
Si prevede un po' di movimento per i prossimi mesi: lavoro (da metà maggio), esami, uno spettacolo al teatro Verdi e un'uscita "live". Intanto questa settimana mi ritroverò a studiare Metodologia e Tecniche delle Scienze Sociali, visto che non ho neppure lezione.

Fade to grey...

Insomma...non una gran partenza per questa settimana: manca la voglia di fare (e avrei una prova in itinere il 7 aprile) e soprattutto il tempo è peggiorato. La nota di demerito del giorno va senz'altro agli autobus urbani di Padova: a causa dei lavori per il tram, ci sono sempre più problemi di viabilità in centro, per non parlare dei ritardi anche superiori ai 20 minuti di alcune linee. Una nota positiva: oggi ho rivisto un bel po' di gente che non incontravo da una vita, in occasione del casting de "Il santo" (persino un ex compagno di banco al liceo!).
Finisco ora di leggere "Non ti muovere" in attesa di vedere il film - a proposito, mi piacerebbe conoscere le impressioni a riguardo da parte dei visitatori del blog. Consono al mio attuale mood malinconico, nel lettore cd gira "Ok Computer" dei Radiohead (rispolverato dopo un po' di tempo...bellissimo, ma preferisco "Kid A"). Ho letto che Bob Dylan terrà un concerto il 2 luglio presso Villa Pisani, attendo notizie ulteriori, in primis sui prezzi dei biglietti.

Digitale terrestre: aggiornamenti

Pochi giorni fa ho riportato integralmente un'inchiesta sui decoder digitali terrestri, per l'acquisto dei quali attualmente c'è un incentivo di 150€, soprattutto in seguito ad un file Powerpoint che sta girando come allegato via e-mail (che accusa il ministro Gasparri di vera e propria truffa). Ecco qualche aggiornamento sulla questione, sperando di non dilungarmi troppo...
E' vero che il decoder consente di ricevere
un solo canale alla volta , un po' come accade con i ricevitori satellitari, a meno che non sia un impianto condominiale. Stanno inoltre arrivando già dei TV color (specialmente di alta gamma) con il ricevitore integrato. In ogni caso, è meglio documentarsi su tutte le funzioni in dotazione del decoder.
Confermata anche la questione delle
modifiche all'impianto antenna, e lo stesso mensile Focus afferma che solo il 10% delle antenne in Italia sono in grado di funzionare con segnale digitale. Una peculiarità di questo tipo di segnale è che vi è una visualizzazione
solo quando esso è sufficiente, senza quindi il deterioramento tipico della ricezione analogica (un po' come accade nei telefonini GSM).
Non tutti i decoder sono interattivi: quelli più a buon mercato si limitano a ricevere il segnale televisivo digitale; quelli "intermedi" possono anche scaricare software trasmesso dalle emittenti; infine, solo i più cari sono interattivi, ossia dialogano con l'emittente, e lo fanno tramite una connessione telefonica.
Altri problemi che possono verificarsi riguardano la
privacy dell'utente: per esempio, negli Stati Uniti, quando Janet Jackson ha perso metà reggiseno al Superbowl, i dati hanno rivelato esattamente quanti utenti hanno guardato e riguardato la scena (questo con i videoregistratori digitali). E da "quanti" a "quali" il passo è breve.
In conclusione, solo al momento i servizi sono gratuiti.

Suzanne Vega "Penitent" appartiene all'ultimo album in studio della cantautrice Suzanne Vega, "Songs In Red And Grey" pubblicato nel 2001. Tra i suoi maggiori successi si ricordano "Marlene on the wall" (il suo primo singolo), "Luka" (che è stato anche ricantato in italiano da Paola Turci) e "Tom's Diner" nella versione remixata dai DNA nel 1990; ha realizzato finora 6 LP in studio, escludendo le compilation -"Retrospective", uscita l'anno scorso, è molto valida e assolutamente da non perdere. La canzone "Left of Center", con Joe Jackson al piano, è stata realizzata per il film Pretty In Pink, e "Woman on the tier" per Dead Man Walking con Sean Penn.
