E’ stato il primo leader dei Pink Floyd, dal 1965 al 1968. Il portavoce del gruppo: ’’Si è spento, in maniera molto serena, un paio di giorni fa’’
Londra, 11 lug. - (Adnkronos) - E’ morto all’età di 60 anni Roger Keith Barrett, meglio noto come ’Syd’, storica voce e chitarrista dei Pink Floyd, nonché fondatore e primo leader della band dal 1965 al 1968. Lo ha reso noto un portavoce del gruppo.
Barrett era nato il 6 gennaio 1946 a Cambridge, dove conobbe a scuola Roger Waters e David Gilmour.’’Si è spento, in maniera molto serena, un paio di giorni fa’’, ha precisato il portavoce, aggiungendo che il funerale si svolgerà in forma privata.
Una delle menti più geniali della storia della musica rock, e uno dei suoi miti più grandi, Roger Syd Barrett fu l’anima eccentrica e idealista dei Pink Floyd. L’abuso di stupefacenti lo portò però al punto da non essere più utile al gruppo che aveva contribuito a creare. Purtroppo, anche a causa delle droghe, la salute mentale lo abbandonò del tutto, costringendolo nel 1968 a lasciare i Pink Floyd."
Se ne è andato uno dei grandi protagonisti della musica moderna.

Roy Paci + Aretuska in concerto

Ieri sera bellissimo concerto di Roy Paci +Aretusla allo Sherwood Festival, chi è stata invitata e non è venuta, COSA SI E’ PERSA !!!
Lunedì sera sempre allo Stadio Euganeo di Padova ci sarà addirittura Sinead O’Connor, non so se rendo.
Farà un concerto acustico e presenterà brani dal suo nuovo album ...
