L'ADDIO A DONÀ
Il comandante del nucleo elicotteristi dei vigili del fuoco Tentellini ha ricordato il pilota scomparso

Profonda commozione e toccanti testimonianze durante le esequie svoltesi in cattedrale

«Un grande pilota sa navigare anche con le ali rotte». Questa frase pronunciata dal comandante del nucleo elicotteristi dei vigili del fuoco di Tessera, Roberto Tentellini, ha descritto meglio di tante altre la figura di Lucio Donà, il vigile del fuoco adriese scomparso giovedì scorso in un incidente stradale alle porte di Vicenza la cui esequie si sono tenute ieri pomeriggio in cattedrale.
Donà era un eroe per i suoi compagni di lavoro e per i suoi superiori, un eroe moderno tanto da meritarsi una medaglia d'argento al valor civile essendo uno di quegli ardimentosi che, nel 1996, spensero l'incendio che divampava sul teatro "La Fenice" di Venezia. Era un vero e proprio mito per i suoi colleghi di lavoro che l'hanno voluto onorare, adagiando la sua bara, ricoperta dal tricolore, su una autoscala di servizio, mentre tre dei suoi elicotteristi spargevano dal cielo, sul suo ultimo mezzo di trasporto, petali di fiori, mentre, nell'aria, risuonavano i lamenti delle sirene del 115. Se i vigili del fuoco, per tributargli l'ultimo omaggio, erano giunti da tutta Italia, anche da Bari e da Catania, anche la sua città natale non è stata da meno. Adria si è stretta attorno al suo feretro, ed alla sua famiglia: all'amatissima madre Lucia, alla figlia Francesca, alla signora Linda, alla sorella Donatella, ai fratelli Nicola e Luca ed ai parenti ed agli amici tutti. Moltissime le personalità del mondo politico presenti in chiesa: il sindaco di Adria, Antonio Lodo, il presidente della provincia Federico Saccardin, il vicepresidente Sandro Gino Spinello, che a Donà era molto legato, gli onorevoli Franco Grotto (Sdi-Ulivo) e Gabriele Frigato (Margherita-Ulivo).
Oltre a questi erano presenti numerosi esponenti delle pubbliche istituzioni, prefetto Landolfi e questore Castore, assessori e consiglieri comunali e una folta rappresentanza del mondo del volontariato e dell'associazionismo.
Durante l'omelia, l'arciprete, monsignor Mario Furini, ha ricordato la figura del pilota scomparso, il suo coraggio, la sua dedizione e le sue virtù umane soprattutto quella sua medaglia, conquistata sul campo dell'onore, per spegnere l'incendio nello storico teatro veneziano quando, per ben 140 volte, si era gettato fra le fiamme: «Una vita la sua -, ha ricordato mons. Furini - spesa al servizio degli altri a bordo del suo elicottero».
Toccante soprattutto la lettera del cugino Angelo Donà, comandante del distaccamento dei vigili del fuoco di Adria in cui ricordava, all'amico più che al parente, gli anni trascorsi assieme. La salma al termine del rito funebre è stata condotta presso il cimitero cittadino dove è stata poi tumulata.
