COMMENTA (0 commenti presenti) - PERMALINK mercoledì 29 settembre 2004 - ore 21:42 R.E.M. : Around The Sun (2004)  Ho potuto scaricare in anteprima questo disco dalla Rete, lo troverete nei negozi a partire da venerdi. Alex1980pd mi aveva chiesto un parere...eccoti servito: il disco è fiacco, ma non in senso negativo: mancano i pezzi rock tirati, quelli che hanno caratterizzato Monster e New Adventures in Hi-Fi (e tutta la produzione anni 80...). I brani sono ben curati ed ottimamente incisi. La voce di Michael è quantomai calda e trascinante. Se mi passate il termine, secondo me "Around The Sun" è un disco FURBO: esce in autunno, ovvero quando le giornate si accorciano, il freddo è in arrivo, c'è poca voglia di stare fuori di casa. Questo disco è la colonna sonora ideale per le malinconiche giornate autunnali/invernali, con brani ricchi di pathos ed interpretazioni vocali che vanno ascoltate in religioso silenzio. Il suo limite è la scarsa differenza nella struttura delle canzoni: in altre parole, al brano numero 10 mi sono annoiato ed ho cambiato cd. Avrebbero dovuto inserire 2-3 pezzi di rock n'roll e il risultato sarebbe stato più apprezzabile. E' un disco che consiglio a tutti i veri fan dei R.E.M., perchè i loro dischi sono sempre belli, ma forse non è indicato per chi si avvicina a loro per la prima volta. Ora attendo le prime scalette del nuovo tour (inizia questo weekend per la campagna a favore di John Kerry, insieme a John Fogerty e Bruce Springsteen), per verificare l'impatto dal vivo di queste canzoni. Sicuramente regaleranno momenti emozionanti durante lo show, ma sarà anche bello accelerare il ritmo con i brani più rock che tanto mi garbano  Ah, "Leaving New York" è una canzone meravigliosa...vi riporto il testo e la dedico alla disgraziata di Shaula :It's quiet now and what it brings is everything. Io invece poco dopo mezzanotte sono crollato dal sonno, preceduto di un quarto d'ora abbondante dalla Principessa. Siamo vecchi, e voi siete il NUOVO CHE AVANZA! LEGGI I COMMENTI (3) - PERMALINK sabato 25 settembre 2004 - ore 14:45 Spiderman 2 Buuuuuu, ma che brutto film ho visto ieri sera...davvero terribile: una sceneggiatura scritta col parkinson ed interpretata da gente che non sa cosa vuol dire essere un attore cinematografico. Vi consiglio di cuore di evitare questo film, basta e avanza se lo trasmetteranno su canale5 tra un annetto. Il primo episodio è nettamente migliore, anche se il successo fu dovuto alla prima trasposizione su grande schermo di un classico dei fumetti. Per il secondo episodio dovevano puntare su trama e ritmo, ma hanno cannato rovinosamente. Evitate gente, evitate. COMMENTA (0 commenti presenti) - PERMALINK giovedì 23 settembre 2004 - ore 23:06 VERTIGO I CAN FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL!!! ...FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL!!! sto ascoltando in questo momento il nuovo singolo degli U2, VERTIGO, "preso in prestito" da un mio amico da una radio spagnola (la canzone sarà disponibile alle radio di tutto il mondo da domani). Che dire? E' STUPENDO! è un singolo decisamente ROCK, suona in modo divino, con tutti gli strumenti ben separati; pure il giro di basso è nettamente distinguibile dal resto. Oserei dire che questo sound è molto simile a quello di Achtung Baby. Ora mi aspetto davvero molto dal nuovo album, nel frattempo alzo il volume e inizio a dimenarmi, perchè è una botta di energia di quelle che mancavano da troppo tempo al mio cuore. ROCK N'ROOOOOOOOOOOOL! PS: e inizio a mettere da parte qualche soldo per il tour europeo del 2005, stavolta li voglio vedere in giro per mezza Europa! Portano una sfiga inumana queste cose!
