Sì, la musica gratis è bella. E’bello pavoneggiarsi con gli amici di aver scaricato l’ultimo album dell’illustre sconosciuto due giorni prima dell’uscita nel souk di Tunisi.
Ed è altrettanto bello avere il cd in mano. Con il libretto che profuma di carta stampata o di cartone, o con ancora l’aroma di plastica, con il nylon che, mentre lo apri, fa sì che grazie al cartoncino ti procuri tagli e bestemmie. E’bello tenere in mano il cartone mentre fissi uno stereo senza immagini che pronuncia l’atteso sermone dalle sue grandi orecchie, bocche o casse, che dir si voglia.
Ma avevo dimenticato quanto fosse bello il digital download. Guadagnare la proprietà del tuo "pane". Perché se è vero che l’ultimo pezzo di Vedder è già ovunque, "gratis", è anche bellissimo che ti arrivi un update su Myspace, tu esca dalle lenzuola, prenda il portafogli, tiri fuori la carta di credito e spenda 0,99 dollari per una giusta causa. Che poi sono davvero pochi soldi, in effetti. Scaricare un pezzo, seppure live, ed averlo. Per sempre, se lo carichi in uno spazietto online.
E’tua. Non è una delle tante. E’tua, è quella che hai scelto.
