In guerra si spara. E si muore. Se sei un soldato sai che il tuo lavoro è rischioso, e se parti significa che hai accettato tale rischio. La sagoma nel tuo mirino che cade mentre spari è uno che muore, ed è più che concepibile che prima o poi tu sara...i la sagoma di qualcun altro. Se vuoi "aiutare gli altri" corri meno rischi facendo volontariato in una casa di riposo o in Africa.
Difendere la democrazia, qualcuno direbbe. Innanzitutto non è spiegabile come il portare la democrazia ad un popolo (uno dei tanti, in mezzo a stati dittatoriali o assolutistici... vi cambia qualcosa se depongono il monarca assoluto del Buthan?) possa servire a noi. Dico a noi, perchè a loro sicuramente non serve, avendo una base sociale completamente diversa dalla nostra. Democrazia occidentale in una società organizzata in tribù, rendiamoci conto.
Ma anche facendo finta che serva a qualcosa... non sorge qualche domanda quando il presidente afghano viene rieletto con schede fantasma? Non ci si domanda "cosa facciamo qui"? Non è un’assurdità colossale andare a morire (morire! Buttare via 35 anni di vita, spegnersi, sparire) per questo?
Condoglianze alle famiglie, ma i soldati di oggi sono VOLONTARI. Non c’è coscrizione, non c’è un nemico che ci vuole invadere (non c’è mai stato, da che è nata l’Italia abbiamo sempre e solo attaccato). Si tratta di italiani che muoiono in Afghanistan, che se fossero rimasti in Italia sarebbero diventati dei simpatici vecchietti.
Quindi per quanto mi riguarda, i soldati morti sono morti sul lavoro, nient altro. La guerra è una cosa spaventosa, più la conosci più ne prendi le distanze. Quindi andarsele a cercare non è una mossa saggia
