Rimpiangevo di aver smesso con il calcio a 15 anni! "Ero così promettente, sarei diventato un grande portiere" pensavo. Nah, non è vero in realtà, sarei rimasto mediocre. Altrimenti sarebbe un peccato che solo i peggiori ce la fanno veramente, mentre i migliori rimangono in potenza.
Rimpiangevo di non aver imparato uno strumento da ragazzino! Il tempo per il rock’n’roll è prestabilito, cominci da adolescente e raggiungi la maturità musicale a 23-24 anni come Paul McCartney e Brian Wilson. Perso il treno dunque!
Forse. Però intanto l’anno scorso ho ripreso con il calcio affrontando un campionato più difficile di quello che avrei dovuto, con ottimi risultati. E ora sto imparando definitivamente lo strumento che 2 anni fa avevo sfiorato, la batteria.
Morale della favola: l’adolescenza è una puttanata sopravvalutata, buona per il marketing di qualche telefilm o di qualche band. Se non fai qualcosa quando sei giovanissimo, fai sempre a tempo a farla dopo. La differenza è che da ragazzino sogni ad occhi aperti, mentre quando cresci acquisisci la possibilità di realizzarteli da solo i sogni.
