Friday, August 29, 2003 - ore 13:56 Scenes from a memory: EPILOGO . Giorno per giorno ho pubblicato, in ordine sequenziale, le traduzione dei brani dell'album dei Dreamtheater in questione. Ebbene, ora faccio il riassunto dei fatti di questa magnifica storia ke si sviluppa nelle 12 canzoni: Julian e Edward sono gemelli "confinati nella stessa mente" e questo lo sappiamo da Metropolis Pt. 1. Essendo gemelli i due dovrebbero essere telepatici e pertanto dovrebbero percepire l'uno i sentimenti dell'altro. La differenza tra i due è che Edward è stato il miracolato nel senso che era riuscito nella vita (era Senatore) mentre Julian era caduto nel gioco d'azzardo e nella droga. Victoria era fidanzata di Julian ma "Lei voleva amore per sempre, Ma lui aveva altri piani, Lui è caduto in una brutta strada, Lei ha dovuto lasciarlo giù, Ha detto 'Non posso amare un uomo ribelle'". Pertanto ha cercato comprensione e ha avuto una relazione con il fratello Edward. Così facendo Edward si è innamorato di Victoria e non voleva più che lei si rimettesse con il fratello drogato perchè "Non li stà portando da nessuna parte". Ma Victoria si accorge che è ancora innamorata solo di Julian e così i due hanno un incontro segreto. Edward percepisce questo e così va a casa di Julian un Venerdì sera, sfonda la porta, cammina sui vetri mentre il cane abbaia, con due colpi di pistola ammazza Julian che nel frattempo aveva preso un coltello a serramanico. Victoria visto questo comincia ad urlare in preda al terrore. Edward dice "Apri gli occhi Victoria" e ammazza anche lei con due colpi di pistola. Julian in punto di morte solleva il volto di Victoria e canta "Un'ultima volta, giaceremo oggi ..." e poi ".. gli spiriti si innalzano al Cielo". Edward prima di uscire lascia una lettera nella tasca di Julian che porterebbe a pensare all'omicidio di Victoria e poi al suicidio. Molto probabilmente Edward usa il suo potere politico per insabbiare il caso. Edward è il testimone. Qui finisce il passato. Dopo circa 30/40 anni l'anima di Victoria si reincarna in Nicholas.
