Saturday, October 23, 2004 - ore 13:20 I MIGLIORI ALBUM DI SEMPRE Stavolta propongo:  METALLICA – Black Album Gli accantini fans rimasero un po’ delusi all’uscita di quest’album. I Metallica erano diventati commerciali. Ora nn erano + x i fedelissimi, ma erano x tutti!  I suoni si alleggerirono, ahimè… distorsioni comprese …. e pure James Hetfield, nn cantava + con la stessa cattiveria di Master of Puppets o … and justice for all.Da SPEED METAL, direi ke si passo’ ad un HARD ROCK un po’ + cattivo dello standard. Ma questo nn significa ke si erano improvvisamente rincoglioniti… come in tante band, dopo anni di carriera, arriva il momento della svolta. E questo è stato proprio l’album della svolta dei Metallica!!! Un successo mondiale come poki. Ma soprattutto: UN CAPOLAVORO. Io stesso erano affezionato a quelli precedenti, ma ho constatato senza dubbi ke questo resta il loro miglior album in assoluto. Meno cattiveria, meno virtuosismi, meno velocità, ma tantissima INTENSITA’ e una cura maggiore alla tecnica. Metaforicamente parlando si potrebbe dire MENO CORPO, PIU’ ANIMA. Anche ki odia il genere o nn possiede l’album, ha sentito tutte le canzoni almeno + di una volta. O su quale colonna sonora di un film, o videoclip, o coverband. Io li sentivo persino quale volta pure in discoteca quand’era il momento di pogare!!!  Tracce dell’album: - Enter Sandman - Sad But True - Holier Tahn Thou - The Unforgiven - Wherever I May Roam - Don'T Tread On Me - Through The Never - Nothing Else Matters - Of Wolf And Man - The God That Failed - My Friend of Misery - The Struggle Within Esce nel 1991 con il singolo e videoclip, Nothing else Matters, pietra miliare della storia della musica, ke eseguono pure in una memorabile performance al leggendario Tributo a Freddy Mercury, nell’aprile 1992, scomparso un anno prima. VOTO: 10 naturalmente. E come dissi per Appetite for destruction, anche quest’album sembra un greatest hits: è un’impresa da fenomeni riuscire a concepire in un solo album, canzoni favolose dalla prima all’ultima.
