Tuesday, January 04, 2005 - ore 22:32 Load "Load". Questo disco molto contestato al tempo della sua uscita (fine 1996) dopo un silenzio di 5 anni. Gli stessi MetallicA riferirono esplicitamente ad un'intervista TV anni fa che non era loro intenzione pubblicare due album (Load e Reload, a distanza di breve tempo), ma lo DOVETTERO fare per motivi discografici. Tuttavia oggi mi sono messo a riascoltarlo...e dopo l'aborto di "St.Anger" sono tornato ad apprezzare persino questo disco, del quale comunque molte ritmiche sono più che ascoltabili: i bellissimi intro di basso di "Wasting my Hate" e "King Nothing", l'incalzante "Ain't my Bitch", le lente "Until it Sleeps" e "Bleeding Me" sono solo un esempio.. Insomma gli anni in cui quei 4 sapevano ancora fare qualcosa di buono...da quando Kirk ha iniziato a sentirsi un "Dio in terra", Lars ha disimparato a suonare la batteria e James ha perso totalmente la voce possono combinare solo obrobri come "St.Anger"...Dove sono finiti i "Four Horsemen" della fine anni '80???
