Winter

As we travel to the heart of Winter
Walking with ever an increasing pace
While the cold winds of time erase our trace
Biting our souls with a sheer ice splinter
As the silver-leaf tree gloomily withers
For the lack of sunlight, bane of the land
Empowers of Night the darkening brand
And the livings stand all clad in shivers
An overwhelming wail pierces the ears
And all the people stand upon their knees
Again it’s time to pay the dreadful fees
To stand against the season of dark fears
And here I am, to Nature’s will just prone
Awaiting return of the One that’s gone.
