Soppianta con gran merito l’inutile BONOLIS.. inutile come la sua megalomania degli ultimi tempi, del suo esagerato interismo... ma persona colta come poki! REPUBBLICA scrive in merito: Per dimenticare Paolo è bastato parlare di calcio. "Iniziamo, come doveroso, dai risultati e dalle classifiche". E così Enrico Mentana fa suo Serie A, decima puntata come se fosse la prima. Niente battute e sfilacciamenti superflui ma solo un obiettivo: soddisfare, con l’informazione a ritmo serrato com’è nello stile del giornalista, la spasmodica attesa dei tifosi, ansiosi di gol, casi, moviola. L’ex direttore del Tg5 debutta alla conduzione del programma di Canale 5 che ha "mandato a casa" Bonolis fra polemiche andate avanti per giorni. Per tacitarle, e togliere ogni illusione a chi erroneamente pensava di ritrovarne traccia nel corso della trasmissione, Mentana esordisce proprio con un saluto "da amici" all’ex conduttore, e un "in bocca al lupo per Il senso della vita, il nuovo programma di seconda serata, sempre targato Canale 5, del quale Bonolis sarà protagonista da giovedì 24 novembre.
