Friday, June 02, 2006 - ore 13:27 Per gli inglesi gli Oasis battono i Beatles  Anche le icone si rinnovano, e persino gli indistruttibili Beatles cadono sotto il peso degli anni. Superati da un gruppo che i giovanissimi probabilmente ritengono già vecchio, ma comunque "vivo": gli Oasis dei fratelli Gallagher. Un sondaggio su 40mila appassionati di musica, condotto dalla pubblicazione "British Hit Single and Albums" e dal sito NME.com (del celebre New Musical Express), ha portato a sorpresa il primo disco dei fratelli, "Definitely Maybe", del 1994, in cima alla lista dei cento titoli più amati. Delusione per gli U2, che nel sondaggio del tutto libero (non esisteva una lista precompilata) sfiorano la top ten fermandosi all’11° posto. L’album più recente nei primi 100 è "Up the Bracket", quindicesimo, dei The Libertines, ex gruppo di Pete Doherty, l’ex di Kate Moss.
