There’s plenty of talent in the sea, we just need a few rocks to land on.
Designers are wankers want 250 industry leaders to provide £250 each to pool as a resource to help the plebs on this site gestate. In fact we want more than that, we want involvement, Designers Are Wankers is where the bullshit buck stops.
On this site there are two main factions, the Plebs and the Gurus.
Everyone’s a Pleb. Gurus are the top industry bods whose presence on the site is to inspire, aid and abet the plebs in their creative development. This is not a one way street. The Plebs also get the chance to inspire and communicate with each other through Plebsville, the opportunity to store their portfolio and also the opportunity to communicate with the Gurus through Hugo, the human Google. Designers Are Wankers is worthwhile network, a resource for all working at the root with the tools to let it all grow.
What is a pleb? Its you. It’s the vast majority of us. Lack of assistance and guidance from creative industries leaves most of us floundering around like a wet spaniel at a salami convention. No matter how talented or creative you are, at some stage you’rl need to pick the brains and communicate with others.
