Il "mio" primo album dei Depeche Mode. In realtà "Enjoy the silence" e "Personal Jesus" hanno avuto maggior fortuna, ma sono del parere che questa canzone, che tra l'altro apre il lato A dell'album, sia estremamente suggestiva.
Anche i Cure ne hanno inciso una cover.
