there is an english website in which you can look up how much every house sold for since 2000.

I’ve just looked up my tight ex friend’s house - a four-bed detached country house with a garden no less - and discovered that she paid a fortune for it!

so much for being broke.

wedding dress saga
mio Moroso ha chiamato la mia ex amica oggi e le ha detto che puo’ tenere il mio vestito da sposa.

non la paghiamo e non ci lasciamo essere ricattati da lei.

doveva dirci dall’inizio che voleva essere pagata. non puo’ decidere ora che e’ quasi finito che non vuole piu’ il sito internet e logo disegnato dal mio Moroso.

che stronza!

ho parlato con ben tre avvocati, una dei quali e’ la mia amica, che mi hanno detto che ha rotto il nostro contratto verbale. non ha il diritto di chiederci dei soldi (e neanche pochi!) ora.

la mia insegnante di cucire mi fara’ il vestito da sposa da capo.

che sollievo!


ma il brutto e’ che abbiamo perso la seta che abbiamo comprato in India...

I’ve spoken to a solicitor who says my friend has no right to ask for money when we agreed we would exchange services.

She has broken our verbal contract.

We don’t want the wedding dress anymore.

But we do want our silk that we bought in India back.

What an awful situation.

veggie
We’ve had a new veg box today full of gorge, orqanic and fresh fruit and veg from kiwi to kale!

my friend is staying for the weekend and she’s veggie so it gives us the chance to try out new veggie recipes!

I’ve just found a yummy recipe for carrot cake and am going to make one now seeing as we are inundated with carrots!

I found it on www.riverford.co.uk who also do a veg box scheme.

Carrot cake in a flash!

Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cooking Time: 45 - 50 mins

Serves: 4

Ingredients

400g Carrots
400g Self Raising Flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 lemon (zest and juice)
1 Package vanilla sugar or vanilla essence (1-2 teaspoons)
200ml oil
200g sugar (brown sugar tastes great with it)
spring form

Instructions

Grate the Carrots

Mix the Carrots with everything

Put in greased springform

Bake for 45-50 minutes at 180oC

(Cover with foil to prevent burning, after baking take foil off and out of form. Leave to cool before serving.

il mio collega ha comprato la sua prima casa e trasloca questo weekend.

la mia collega ed io volevamo regalargli qualcosa ma non sapevamo cosa.

alla fine ho trovato un pensierino a Testi a PD!

un cavatappi rosso a forma di diavolo!

speriamo che gli piaccia!

redundancy
il capo di mio Moroso ha lasciato a casa 3 persone la settimana scorsa.

il problema e’ che lo studio e’ cresciuto troppo di fretta.

due delle persone non lavoravano molto bene e quindi la scelta e’ stata facile.

ma la terza era una ragazzina molto dolce e simpatica.



ora tocca a quelli che rimangano di lavorare di piu’ per coprire le assenze.

e quindi oggi mio Moroso e’ al lavoro...

veg box
Today we got our first veg box from Rod & Ben’s - a farm nearby - how exciting!

So many vegetables and all organic! Yum!

We even got a few beetroot that I have never cooked before nor eaten apart the pickled shop variety!

Silly how simple things can make your day.
